Ambre Dawn has been teaching Tai Chi and Qigong for 10+ years. She was inspired to get her certification in order to help veterans with PTSD. Her teaching journey has grown to include the community of people with disabilities. Each element of class can be adapted so everyone is able to participate at any age, level, or ability. It is a joy to bring the internal healing arts to others.
The foundation of every class is breath
training. Breathing with your lower belly, dahn jun, creates the proper balance for energy circulation. It also builds your power center physically and emotionally.
Benefits of breath training:
“Qi” = vital energy in the body.
“Gong” = exercising. The practice of Qi Gong through gentle movement circulates this inner vital energy, bringing balance to the body and emotions.
Benefits of Qigong:
Tai Chi is movement that has no boundaries. Breathing is combined with movement to learn small steps called forms in a sequence. In class we learn 24-form Yang style Tai Chi.
